Standard First Aid with CPRC and AED
Who should take Standard First Aid with CPRC and AED Skills Training?
Workplace Requirements
Workplaces with 6 or more workers on any one shift must hold Standard First Aid with CPRC and AED Skills. This course is recognized under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB).
Professional Designations
Standard First Aid with CPRC and AED Skills is required for all: Early Childhood Educators (E.C.E.), Personal Support Workers (PSW) recommended CPR HCP/BLS)), Developmental Service Workers (DSW), Security Guard/Correctional Officer, Police Officers (recommended CPR HCP/BLS)
Standard First Aid with CPR-HCP/BLS and AED Skills is required for all: Firefighters, Paramedic, Nurses, Dentists/Dental Hygienists

Who should take Emergency First Aid with CPRC and AED Skills Training?
Workplace Requirements
For workplaces with 6 or more workers on any one shift, Standard First Aid with CPRC and AED Skills is required.
Professional Designations
The Emergency First Aid with CPRC and AED Skills course is mandatory for specific designations such as Security Guards. We would always suggest a candidate at least partake in an Emergency First Aid with CPRC and AED Skills course as the bare minimum for their First Aid and CPR Training. Most employers would however prefer you hold the Standard First Aid with CPRC and AED Skills course which can be found by clicking here.
CPR HCP/BLS (Basic Life Support)
Who should take Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider CPR Training?
Professional Designations
CPR-HCP/BLS and AED Skills is required for all: Firefighters, Paramedic, Nurses, Dentists/Dental Hygienists. Personal Supports Worker (PSW) is highly recommended as well.
Professional infant, child, and adult CPR and AED for healthcare workers including first responders. Includes use of oxygen, BVM (Bag-Valve-Mask), and may include oral airways for some groups.
This course is designed for people who are very likely, due to their occupations, to perform CPR on a fairly regular basis.
CPRC and AED
Yearly certification of CPRC and AED Skills is required for all: Personal Trainers, Medical Providers and Athletic Therapists.

CPRC and AED Skills covers recognition of heart attack, sudden cardiac arrest and using the AED (Automated External Defibrillator) for infant, child and adult. Blended online training (Code 8 EMS Only) and practical in-person session.
